Jonathan Harvey
Jonathan Harvey's Vers was written in 2000 for the 75th birthday of Pierre Boulez. Following the double meaning of the word 'vers', this 4-minute work is a verse which leads 'towards' both a brief quotation from Harvey's seminal ensemble work Bhakti (a work commissioned by Boulez), and a new improvisatory idea of form.
