John Chabot, a man who knew success, wealth and a wonderful familly life, now finds himself with nothing worth living for and prison time. Even though he becomes extremely discouraged and hopeless, life refuses to let go of him. One of his main problems causes him to lose everything. Profession, carreer, money, familly and friends; are now something of the past. Nevertheless,life hangs on to John by repeatedly reminding him of these souvenirs. Invaded by troubling dreams John begins to definately believe that he his losing his sanity but gradually and unexpectedly he reconnects with life and its reality. The more he becomes aware of his dreams and of their deep and true meanings within his present and past events of life, John discovers, through a cascade of events taking him from one country to another, a door leading to a new world which helps him discover that in reality this new world was in fact, always part of his old world.
