The Christian life is described by the apostle Paul as a race, a race that we must run with endurance. While using different examples, Paul's exhortations perfectly echo those of Lord Jesus. With these exhortations came warnings, both from the Lord and from Paul, but these warnings are usually not applied to us in traditional teaching. Quite often great effort is made to deflect the warnings onto other people. This book looks at all the warnings, every single one, that are present in the Gospels and in nearly every letter written by every New Testament author. There are far more than you probably realize. All are considered in their context to identify who it is that should be paying attention. If you have been born of the Spirit, if Christ is in you, then there is a race to run. When Christ appears, will we have confidence before Him, or will we shrink away in shame (1 John 2:28)?
