Cold Venture               Book 1 of the Venture Trilogy

    After finding the derelict, apparently alien, Spaceship in the Asteroid Belt.  Ice's plan was simple.  Get his friends together and the four of them would discover its secrets, retrofit a ship with the Faster than Light Drive it had to have, and go exploring.

    Keeping the Alien a secret, not to mention paying for the research, starts Ice, Fire, Brain and Doc on an adventure to Saturn and beyond.  On the trip, they attempt to research the ship while keeping it hidden from the unwanted passengers that the investors send along to "help".
    Of course, the raiders or as most people call them, Pirates, become a problem and the crew of Orion find out who their real friends are.  The story continues in the sequel, Hot Pursuit.
