From the frozen Chosin to the DMZ the author bring some of the action that happen during two wars. In between he tells about the training of the Marine Corps. He also tells about his early years growing up in a orphan home. There is no longer such a place. to be found.. There are poems wrote during some of the battles he fought in Vietnam. It would take over fifty years before he could write or talk about the battles fought in the frozen Chosin.
