"This is the story of a talented athlete, Brendon Hughes, who had a heart condition that had not been detected. As a result of strenuous exercise, playing football, baseball, basketball, and track, he suffered a fatal heart attack.

After Brendon's death, I felt compelled to write this book for the sole purpose of being an inspiration to others who may have suffered a loss such as ours. Death is always difficult to deal with especially if it is the death of a young person.

It is always a comfort to know that we are not alone in our pain, and there are other people that have experienced the same thing. I sincerely hope that this personal account, which is written from the heart, will be a help to everyone who reads it.
