Milo's Tale is the tale of a little dog with a very big job.

"Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! " says Milo, an adorable seven pound emotional support dog. The runt and the last of the litter, Milo takes on a huge job. He becomes an around-the-clock best friend and support dog to his new "Mom". Mom has ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) and cannot move at all. Tiny Milo tells the tale and gently explains effects of ALS in words children understand. Milo reminds us that what matters is on the inside, not the outside of people we meet.

Kay C Albright was diagnosed with ALS in February of 2011 and quickly lost her ability to communicate. Thanks to amazing technology she was able to write this book using only her eyes with her eye gazer computer. While the book is classified as "fiction" Milo really is her emotional support service dog, riding everywhere in Kay's lap. ALS is an awful disease but Kay is determined to make as much good come from her diagnosis as possible. She has witnessed, first hand, the need to educate people on disabilities. Her hope is that this book will not only spread awareness about ALS but also teach people (young and old) to treat people who look different the same as they would anyone else.
