Forty years ago, when they were both eighteen, it took Sam Roberts one summer to fall in love with Maggie McWilliams. Then it was time for college for both of them; they broke up and went their separate ways. Maggie moved on, got married, established herself in an academic career, and had twin daughters. Sam built a successful broadcasting career of his own-but he has never gotten over Maggie.
