Juni hates standing out. Unlike his cool and fun friend, Jared, Juni gets nervous just reading aloud in class.



Juni's family isn't like him at all. They all love the spotlight-especially his younger sister, Sass. Sass will show up at school in any outfit that strikes her fancy, including sparkly tiaras, six ponytails, opera gloves, and a feather boa.



Then there's Juni's twin brothers, Canyon and Bryce. Canyon is like a pint-sized tornado that goes ripping through the house every hour. Bryce is a little quieter, but he likes picking up "treasures" from around the house and not giving them back.



Even Juni's parents are crazy. His mother leads all his siblings in vocal renditions of silly songs when she comes to pick him up. His father is proud of his new pet parrot, who keeps dive-bombing Juni!



When McKenna, Juni's crush, and Judy Pettigrew, her gossipy friend, catch Sass making Juni cry, he thinks his life is over. No one in the fifth grade will ever forget the time his four-and-a-half-year-old sister made him cry. How can he come back from such an embarrassing moment and show McKenna how cool he really is?
