The paranormal feeds the imagination, sparks the mind and stirs the soul. That is why a lot of people are fascinated with the concept. Some believe in ghosts, fairies, unicorns, leprechauns and other unseen creatures. Others hold a fear of vampires and werewolves or insist that zombies exist. Some hope that time travel is possible so that they can someday right a mistake of their past or see what their future holds. Others simply need to believe there is life on other planets. It soothes them to know that humans are not alone. Whether or not the paranormal is real is a topic for scientists and other great minds to debate. In the meantime, the rest of us will console ourselves with stories that just "might" have some basis in reality.
