Since he was eighteen, Brian has been an officer of the law. Brian is a police officer with the physique of a six-foot policeman. He's patient, kind, gentle, and has an above-average intelligence--the sort of man you'd want, if you needed a policeman. As a career man, he's one of the best. He's thirty-six years old. Since he was seventeen, Brian has loved Karina. Karina is married with four young children. She's a university-educated IT businesswoman. Devoted to her children. A Christian. She's also supposed to be crazy. Just ask her husband. But what if Karina's mental illness is all in her husband's head?

Her husband has a secret. He can no longer trust Karina to keep it. Not now. Not when she has received a text from Brian. "Karina, it sounds like you are in a bad place. It sounds like you have left your husband. Be careful. Stay safe. Keep in touch." Her husband's response to it is insane. As if Karina must be mad to leave him. What happens next is karma.
