8 years ago, Mab was taken over by SPAM. In attempts to save their children, the young were evacuated to the woods surrounding the city and it is there that they stayed, grew, learned and wondered what was happening to the rest of their families. Brook McCann was only eight when this happened, but now, as a 16-year-old recon team member, she has seen more than many others her age. Her best friends, Piccalo and Trek, team with her to make raids on their deserted home for anything they feel will help with life in the woods. But one run goes differently and this spirals their world into a fight for their freedom and a fight for their city.
