There are six candidates running for US president. Correction-there were six candidates.



One by one, the contenders are dying off. Each death occurs in a different state with a different modus operandi, but they have one thing in common-all are violent. The FBI knows it is searching for a serial killer targeting a very particular type of victim.



FBI Agent Jim Mooney is close to retirement when he is first called in on the case. Partnering with Agent Maria Castillo to get to the bottom of these strange murders, he soon realizes the assassinations are somehow connected to a mysterious mansion on the outskirts of Washington, DC.



But they're unprepared for the secrets its basement holds.



Meanwhile, two newspaper reporters, Jack Wendell and Cindy Thomas, are focused on the same case. The ins and outs of this spine-tingling investigation will take these four determined individuals from the streets of Dallas, Texas, to the secret rooms of the White House-to discover shocking truths about American history and the origins of a mysterious organization.



Will their new knowledge be enough to stop the killings? Can they prevent the election from devolving into complete chaos?
