Muddy and Gus managed to fight for their marriage as they raised four children while struggling to make ends meet. Gus suddenly has a change of heart and Muddy finds herself raising their children on her own and grows to resent Gus for abandoning them. Muddy does the best she can but is slowly losing grip of herself when she meets Christopher, a tall handsome man fresh out of prison. She thinks that she may have met someone who can save her until she runs into Marcelle, an old boyfriend who wants to rekindle their old romance. Muddy has to order her steps as she makes life changing decisions along the way.
