Something is wrong in Barrow, the northernmost city in America. Unexpected death is stalking law enforcement officials. Animal attack is the conclusion of investigators, but sheriff's deputy Connor Arkell has his doubts. There is a thread running through these incidents that may be indicative of something much worse. If his suspicions are right, then what possible explanation could there be? He knows werewolves aren't real. But the claw marks on his house are. And something is going bump in the night. Connor fears he may be next, and his only hope just might be a little boy who can barely talk.
