Eighteen-year-old Jill Winters always thought it was a game her father liked to play. Twice a week he would drill her on an escape and evasion scheme and insist she take it seriously. Al Winters worked for Homeland Security. He knew things-things that certain entities would prefer remained hidden. Then Al died suddenly and mysteriously. The game stopped and life went on until one night a black Suburban pulled into the drive. Jill watched from her upstairs window as her stepmother approached the vehicle. What she saw next changed her life forever. Two quick streaks of fire erupted, and her stepmother dropped. As blood began to pool around the body, Jill realized she had just witnessed a murder. Now it was flee or die. Thank God for her father's game.
