This is the story of the soul seen as a separate living organism emerging during human evolution. Stripped of all its eerie metaphysical attributes, more importantly stripped of its immortality, the soul is seen as a symbiote or even a parasite of the body with its own agenda: the search of pleasure. Snapshots from the lives of three different couples separated by space and time, mine and F, Arnie and the woman of extreme honesty and Adrian and Kate are used to explore the bloody conflict between body and soul, or what we call self.
