Only a few months have passed since psychologist, Dr. Alexandra Aguilar, nearly died at the hands of Bobby Benson, Jr.?a serial rapist and killer. Alex's friend, Manny Castillo, the Lead Homicide Detective of the Newbury Police Department, and his partner, Deshawn Freeman, barely made it in time to save Alex from meeting the same fate as Bobby's previous victims. Now, even with Alex's extensive psychological background, struggles with resuming life as it was before the traumatic event. Manny and Deshawn are thrown back into the daily routine of detective work, while Alex tries to return to counseling her patients on a regular basis. Just as things seem to be getting back to normal, a body is found at the Riverdale Inn, bound and stabbed multiple times. Manny, Deshawn, and Alex dive into the hunt for a new killer in their midst. Although this time, Manny is having trouble letting Alex in on the case. Manny struggles with his fear of losing her for good this time and Alex wrestles with him for her independence, all while a Raven flies under their radar killing unsuspecting men in an attempt to ease her pain from losing her mother when she was younger.
