Joclyn and Ilyan are hiding after Ryland and my no-good brother Cail tracked them down. At least I hope they are, because from what I am hearing no one can find them. Which is good, because things in Imdalind are breaking down.

Okay, maybe not breaking down. More like cracking and burning faster than a pile of matchsticks.




At least torture and mayhem is better in a group. Insert eyeroll here. Turns out I am the only one sane enough, and strong enough, to get us out of here. Which is fine, because I also have a few secrets that are just burning to escape. Cue the 70s rock, I need a soundtrack to take these guys down!

Joclyn has been under my protection for a thousand years, even before I found her. Before she breathed her first breath. At the rate we are going she may breathe her last far too soon.




I thought we had escaped my father, I thought that she was safe. But that bastard and his minions have found a way to attack her somewhere that I cannot reach. I must keep her alive, and find a way to keep her attempts at fighting the beast inside of her, from killing everyone around her.
