Walking
Henry David Thoreau
Walking was the most popular work of Henry David Thoreau. Conceived as a conference and read numerous times, it was only published posthumously. It is, above all, an exposition of the wandering philosophy, but also the defense of a "wild thought" that throws on our conscience a light more similar to that of a lightning than that of a candle. Its irony and the wandering course that at times take their reflections, make the reading of this book something as toning as a good morning walk. And there is no need for Thoreau to remind us that "boredom is just another name for domestication."
