Mackenzie M. Hebner's debut work, One Level Deeper, tells the story of Megan Pritchett, a young woman who faced incredible odds against a pain that no one understood. Though her story lacks a gracious ending, there is still much more left to be said. Not every conclusion is truly the close. And every once in a while, we can find the answers in death that we never could in life. This short story recounts the words written of and by the story's protagonist, Megan. The author calls her readers to listen, learn, understand, and appreciate the story left behind and inspired by the girl whose message lives on past her body. The girl whose death shared the story her life couldn't allow.
