Man has been telling stories forever; stories that are uplifting, funny, poignant, thought-provoking, or educating. Stories can be true, based on truths, or pure imagination. And that's what makes storytelling so important; it connects with us in many different ways and on many different levels. The Encore Writers Group is a diverse bunch. Some of us have been writing all of our lives, others just started recently. Some write only memoirs, others mostly fiction. Some of us write for ourselves, others for a broader audience. We write, and even when we don't think of ourselves as writers, we are. We imagine that many of you are too. We have assembled this anthology to share with you some of our stories. Stories that we hope will make you think, dream, smile, or say 'that's me, ' but, most of all, stories we hope you will enjoy
