Blue Note, Tone Poet Series & Blue Note 80

The legendary jazz label, Blue Note, is releasing some of their classics with new audiophile vinyl mastering. Below we have collected a large selection of Blue Note titles as well as a lot of the recent 'Tone Poet Series' and 'Blue Note 80' releases.

About the Tone Poet Series:

In honor of Blue Note Records' 80th Anniversary, the Jazz label launched the Tone Poet Audiophile Vinyl Reissue Series. Blue Note President Don Was brought in "Tone Poet" Joe Harley—co-founder and co-producer of the acclaimed Music Matters Ltd. audiophile vinyl series—to produce this new series of all-analog, mastered-from-the-original-master-tape 180 gram audiophile vinyl reissues in deluxe gatefold packaging. Mastering is by Kevin Gray (Cohearent Audio) and vinyl is being manufactured at Record Technology Incorporated (RTI)

About Blue Note 80:

A series of mid-priced 180g vinyl releases in standard packaging curated by Don Was and Cem Kurosman with albums presented by themes: Blue Note Debuts, Blue Grooves, Great Reid Miles Covers, Blue Note Live, and Blue Note Drummer Leaders. The releases are all-analog whenever an analog source is available with Kevin Gray mastering directly from the original master tapes, and vinyl is pressed at Optimal. The Blue Note 80 series continues through April 2020.
