Radiohead

Radiohead is one of the most innovative and enduring bands in contemporary music. Comprising Thom Yorke (vocals, guitar, piano), Jonny Greenwood (lead guitar, keyboards, orchestration), Colin Greenwood (bass), Ed O’Brien (guitar, backing vocals), and Philip Selway (drums, percussion), the band first gained global attention in the early 1990s with their breakthrough single Creep. And while "Creep" has remained one of their biggest singles, the band went on to completely reform the landscape of alternative rock in the late 90s. With each album, they have continually evolved, setting new benchmarks for creativity in modern music.

Albums such as The Bends (1995), and the landmark album OK Computer (1997) established them as pioneers of the alternative rock scene, while Kid A (2000) and Amnesiac (2001) completely reframed their reputation and pushed helped blending the boundaries of electronic and experimental music within the realm of rock music. All their albums have been astounding critical successes, with multiple of these albums ranking amongst the best albums of all time: OK Computer and Kid A interchangably, with In Rainbows (2007) being thrown in the mix, especiailly getting recognition as a career highlight in recent years.

While the band as a whole has continually evolved, frontman Thom Yorke and lead guitarist Jonny Greenwood have also pursued highly acclaimed solo projects. Yorke’s solo work has further explored the soundscape of electronic music, while he has remained an ever-curious band leader in other side projects such as Atoms For Peace - with RHCP bassist, Flea, and frequent Radiohead producer, Nigel Godrich - and later in the critically acclaimed super group, The Smile, with fellow member Jonny Greenwood and the percussionist Tom Skinner. Besides his work with Radiohead and The Smile, Greenwood has gained recognition for his award-winning film scores (frequent composer for Paul Thomas Anderson). And following Greenwood's succesful career as a film composer, Yorke also expanded his artistry with music for films, starting with the critically acclaimed score for the Suspiria remake in 2018.
