Corelli: Ajuste A La Flute Traversiere
Eleonora Biscevic / Arianna Radaelli
Published in Rome on 1 January 1700, Arcangelo Corelli’s Op. 5 sonatas for violin and basso continuo soon became a stylistic and pedagogical model across Europe. This album presents an anonymous Parisian transcription from around 1738 of the first six sonatas for transverse flute and continuo, born of Duo Alter Ego’s long study of Italian flute repertory and historical transcription practice.
