Dos Almas

Dos Alma's was a musical project begun in Miami in 1994 involving two very gifted young musicians who would later become much in demand. Led by the New Mexico born singer songwriter guitarist Raul Midon and talented multi-instrumentalist John Fournier, Dos Alma's fuses jazz, folk and Latin elements into a fresh new sound. Blinded at birth, Midon became a popular session singer for Latin recording artists Shakira, Julio Iglesias and Jose Feliciano, before embarking upon a very successful solo career which is still in the ascendant. Sax, flute and keyboard player Fournier is now a mainstay in Chicago's burgeoning new music scene. Dos Alma's offers a glimpse into the enormous talent of these two rising stars whose unique take on a variety of influences revealed a musical maturity that few possess so early in their career.
