Sampler 12" of Tom Trago's upcoming album 'Iris'! Leading up to Tom Trago's debut album 'Iris', to be released April 2011, comes this three track sampler. The tracks featured here show the diverse nature of the album, which can be best described as a futuristic soul album. After releasing his double EP 'Voyage Direct', early 2009, Tom has spent the last two years finding his signature sound. The outcome of this search has resulted in 'Iris'. Where 'Voyage Direct' was his homage to disco, 'Iris' deals with all of Tom's musical inspirations. Shaping these inspirations into a new sound and creating an exciting mix is where Tom really succeeds. The three tracks on the sampler all deal with merging the old with the new. 'Being With You' is a match made in heaven between electronic music and R&B, 'Space Balloon' lets disco and funk make love in a spaceship. What You Do' is a future version of late 80's Chicago hip house, which features Tyree Cooper (who, together with Fast Eddie, invented the genre).
